My personal list with My Top Games of 2019
2019 sure was an year with amazing games again, but not as much as 2018 or 2017, for me personally. This list only contains the ones that I personally like the most.
To choose the games, I picked only those I’ve finished.
Games considered/played but not good enough to be on the list (for me, personally):
- Played, didn’t like a lot for some reason (feel free to ask me why): Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, The Outer Worlds, Control, SteamWorld Quest: Hand of Gilgamech, The Hong Kong Massacre, My Friend Pedro, Life Is Strange 2, Arise: A Simple Story, Disco Elysium, Pokémon Sword and Shield, Need for Speed Heat, Apex Legends, Tom Clancy’s The Division 2, A Short Hike, Mortal Kombat 11
- Didn’t play, but are not my style or something else (feel free to ask me why): Death Stranding, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, Shenmue 3, Fire Emblem: Three Houses, Kingdom Hearts III, Metro Exodus, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint, RAGE 2, Far Cry: New Dawn, Untitled Goose Game, Days Gone, Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, Concrete Genie, Outer Wilds, Wolfenstein: Youngblood, The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening, Astral Chain
Now then, here is the final list:

Really amazing graphics and art style with a great color palette. The gameplay is surprisingly complete with a great variety of weapons and items, integrated with interactive environments full of areas to sneak by enemies and ambush them.

Style is really all this game is about. Everything is absurdly exaggerated, from weapons to action scenes and characters’ styles and dialogues.

2. Gears 5
As always on the franchise, Gears 5 has great gameplay with fun weapons to use and cool enemies to fight.
This time, compared to the previous iterations of the franchise, there is a better narrative with touching moments and more well developed characters (some of them). But there are still silly stuff everywhere, and that’s not great for me personally (but It is for fans of the franchise).
